Do not pay to stay here they are charging way to much for the smallest campsites when there is four free to stay parks near by and their handicap accessible bathrooms are not accessible the seat in one is chained to the wall to keep you from using it as it is broken and they refuse to fix it as well as neither of the handicap bathrooms have hot water at all. My husband is disabled and we were forced to use the too small main bathrooms recently when there was no hot water and no way for him to safety use the shower in there. They are charging way too much to not be able to fix simple issues like no hot water in two bathrooms and a handicapped seat in a shower falling out of the wall.
Clean, well-organized, beautiful campground. Very friendly host (shift of June16-17,2023), restrooms are clean and no odor. Free showers, shower rooms are extremely comfortable, roomy and with real hot water.
Discover Pass required.
Another beautiful Washington State Park campground. There are many wonderful private camping sites, and some nestled along the river. Just a few minutes away from Forks and the Hoh Rainforest makes this a great weekend camping spot. The bathrooms are clean and don't require a code. There are showers and firewood on site from the camp boss. Awesome hiking and river access!
Beautiful campground, lush, clean grounds, clean facilities, courteous staff, private sites. However, campgrounds are very close to Highway 101 and the noise from the road is very noticeable from many campsites. I was in site 40 and the noise was distracting, and does continue through the night. Something to consider.
Great place to go to get away from it all, yet still close enough to town to run to the store when you realize you forgot mayo for the sandwiches! The staff is willing to take time out of their day to answer questions without making you feel like you're wasting their time.
It's a beautiful park and well-maintained, but some of the sites are small. It's also surprisingly close to highway 101. Sites 38, 39 and 40 get lots of highway noise
Kid-friendly hiking trail with plant identification, and campground water at faucet. RV and Trent sites. It's right next to the ocean, so come prepared for cold, foggy, breezy weather. River is accessible from the campground. Trucks run all night on Hwy 101.Tips: Hot water not available in the bathrooms. Bring a camp stove and pot to boil water. Shower only works if you buy tokens ($1 for two 3-minute tokens. Token machine only accepts bills.) Come prepared for cold and wet conditions. Easy access to Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, beaches, La Push, and Forks, Wash.
Lovely park overall and great hosts and staff. Proximity to the highway means you can hear traffic from almost everywhere in the campground. Some sites are very small, or very open, so I would recommend choosing a site around the lower loop closest to the river. Had no problem getting cell service here, if you're into staying connected. I would definitely camp here again.
